Last Thursday,i went to the Bolton Game store for one of their lock in events(i had been to a few before at the Wigan store and always enjoyed them),this one was a very cool one indeed,Ubisoft brought to the store the E3 Demo's of Assassin's Creed Black Flag and Watch Dogs running on a PS4 Dev Kit(under such secrecy that if there was any recording or photography of any kind Sony would have pulled the plug of the Demo there and then),looking at the PS4 controller it looks like a definite improvement over the DualShock 3,and the Games themselves looked stunning,i had heard bits about Watch Dogs since its reveal but this is the first time of seeing the game up close and personal and it looks like its going to be a great game with many interesting features that intrigue me.
Hopefully next month at Eurogamer they will be playable demos there that i can get my hands on,and pass on my findings via the Blog
till next time

Nokia Lumia Roadtest
For the past two weeks i have been trialling the Nokia Lumia 920,the flagship phone in Nokia's Lumia range of Windows Phones, seeing how it compared to my LG Optimus 3D and i have to say for me the Lumia wins overall for me over the LG Phone the only stumbling block is the compared to Google Play Market the Windows App Store isnt as vast(but in a way it could be down to quality compared to quantity)but i suspect that over time that will become less of a problem as Windows Phone becomes more prevalent, the camera is really good and i love the panorama mode is great, the live tile system is easy to jump into coming from a Xbox 360 which uses the same system,i love the Kids Corner area, perfect for letting the little one play safe in the knowledge he isnt doing stuff he shouldn't be,the signal strength is great even in my house which is almost impossible to get a signal in on my O3D ,all in all its a very good phone and whilst the 920 is out of my current price range,i could definitely see my next phone being a Lumia

Star Wars Prequels 3D Re Release Postponed
The 3D Re Releases of Episodes II and III that were scheduled to be released September/October 2013 have been postponed due to Lucasfilm working on the Sequel Trilogy after the recent acquisition by Disney.
The House of Mouse owned Lucasfilm now plans to move full steam ahead with Episode VII the first part of the Sequel Trilogy helmed by Lost Co Creator and Director of Super 8 and the recent Star Trek films J.J Abrams,Scheduled for 2015.
Whilst the postponement saddens me a bit, knowing that in under 2 years we shall see more Star Wars,it more than makes up for any disappointment.

Frankenweenie:My Thoughts
Just got back after a preview screening of the new Tim Burton film "Frankenweenie",and its a wonderful film, the premise is similar to his 1984 short film of the same name,When Victor Frankenstein loses his cherished pet dog Sparky rather than be without it he reanimates it by lightening with mayhem ensuing.
The film is stop motion like the Burton produced films "The Nightmare before Christmas" and "James and the Giant Peach" and the co-directed film "Corpse Bride" and is a very stylised affair, filmed in Black and White and 3D in its entirety it pays homage to both the Mary Shelley novel and also back to the Frankenstein films of the 30's,dark in tone as Tim Burton films tend to be overall it is a well made film that will keep kids entertained along with the adults, you can tell that this is a labour of love for Burton and is a return to form after the average Dark Shadows
Look out for the Cameo of Christopher Lee in his most recognisable role
Rating ****/5
Frankenweenie is released Nationwide on the 17th of October
